Rapha Women's 100k Ride

“It is not my fair weather alternative to spin class or working out in a gym. It’s not just exercise. I ride because I love it. I strive to improve, explore, and push myself further. I’m not alone in this. I ride with strong and beautiful women who never cease to amaze and motivate me. We are cyclists and we love what we do. So what if we’re women? When I’m on my bike, I’m a cyclist and I don’t need an alias.” Abby Watson

Women will ride 100km on 20th July

On Sunday 20th July 2014, join thousands of women around the world to ride 100km. A global event. Rides will be taking place everywhere, including several led by Rapha. Over 4,000 women took part in 2013 — this year Rapha is aiming to double that number.

Women’s Wine Country 100km sponsored by Veloville USA

Join us for a 100km cycling tour of Northern Virginia’s historic and scenic wine country. We’ll pedal past rolling stone walls, sprawling horse farms and stately stone manors with restful stops for refueling along the way. Before the ride, enjoy a latte at our coffee bar. After the ride, enjoy a pint and a well deserved meal from one of our local breweries and restaurants. Please come prepared with two water bottles, nutrition sufficient for the distance, and flat changing supplies. These items will also be available at the bicycle shop. Rental bicycles available. We will provide a leader and a sweep. Vehicular assistance available for emergencies. Ride will be fun, but challenging and ridden responsibly at your own risk. Terrain may include hills (some steep, mostly rolling), gravel, rough roads, a stream crossing, minor traffic, etc. Prepare accordingly for typical Virginia summer temperatures (hot and humid). Please RSVP by July 1st so we can make final food and support arrangements.
